Vacancy: Project Scheduler Location: Brimsdown, London Job Family: Planning The Project Scheduler will be essential in producing, optimising, and managing project schedules within the Site CAPEX portfolio. These schedules will then need to be integrated into the site planning (NPP) process to allow for smooth and visible progress through the project life cycle. The candidate will work directly for the Site CAPEX Manager, reporting/managing all schedules with the Site Capex Programme. The role will involve working with project managers and engineers to produce a realistic and sustainable schedule which can be both shared with sites, and the project teams. Using experience and past examples, you will look to optimise tasks and identify critical path activities to maintain the project completion/stage gates. The schedules will also require collating and sharing up to the central projects function to allow for a higher-level overview. Your responsibilities: Support the project manager and operational team in the successful planning and control of project delivery utilising a range of planning and reporting tools and techniques. Ensure that the project reporting requirements are met for both internal and client. Work with project team to ensure project schedules are accurately developed and maintained with accurate resource on a 'monthly basis as well as to meet project timelines. Provide guidance and leadership to teams on Planning breakdowns, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning etc. and operational interfaces. Address planning issues that arise and adapt plan to ensure project delivery. Support in the production of plans for entry into contracts or PO's for new projects. Requirements for the role: Engineering Qualification in relevant subject at MEng/BEng or MSc/BSc level -Desired Minimum 5 years' experience working as a planner or scheduler for an engineering/project team-Desired. Familiarisation with Microsoft Project, P6 or Primavera scheduling tools - Preferred Risk management knowledge and experience-Essential Experience of using P6 planning tools - Preferred Experience working on large scale industrial projects, maintenance activities or commissioning - Preferred Prince2/APMP/Assorted Project management qualifications-Preferred Your normal working environment will be office based onsite at Brimsdown. The role will also allow for flexible working with a minimum of 3 days on site.
